Midweek Mashup
The Bulletin | Voice of the students since 1901

Good morning!
It’s Maddie here with your morning newsletter. Today is Wednesday, May 6. Thanks for tuning in!
This is our second to last newsletter of the semester and the very last newsletter I will contribute as editor-in-chief of The Bulletin. This newspaper has been a huge part of my life over the past three years and some change. If not for The Bulletin, I wouldn’t be the journalist I am today — nor would I be a journalist at all.
Becoming this publication’s opinion editor in 2023 reignited the passion I once had for journalism. It helped me find myself again and it’s been an honor to play such an important role in its history. The Bulletin is my baby, and I graduate proud to have had a hand in shaping where it is today.
I’m excited for what the future holds, but it’s bittersweet to leave such an important piece of my collegiate journey behind.
To our readers, thank you for letting me into your world these past few years, whether it be on your phone, on a laptop or by picking up one of our print issues. Thank you for trusting me to be your source of news coverage for the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. It is because of you that I have been able to continue doing something I love.
And to my incredible staff, I have been so blessed with you by my side. Thank you for trusting me to lead, for putting up with my crazy, for letting me teach you — and for teaching me. The growth I have witnessed in each and every one of you makes my heart so full, and you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. I know I am. I will be forever lucky to have found not just colleagues in you, but also dear friends.
Now, enough with the sap. It’s time for the midweek mashup.
