It’s Isabel here with your morning newsletter! Today is Wednesday, March 11. Thanks for tuning in!

Just a few more days until spring break, can you believe it? This semester has flown by, but I’m sure we’re all ready for a week off. Over spring break, I plan on going home and relaxing for the most part. At some point, my mom and I are going to visit some waterfalls and hike in Arkansas!

We will not publish a newsletter over spring break, so we will see you after! I hope you have a great vacation!

The fragility of innocence

I have a vivid memory of being at recess with my best friend in the third grade. We sat at the swings together, pumping our legs, trying to see who could get higher. “I have a secret to tell you,” I said.

It *is* that damn phone

I feel that it is both a blessing and a curse that I grew up in the smartphone age. Having a phone in middle and high school when I was dependent on my parents for transportation was great.

Officer responded to trees between Southeast Morse Hall and Plumb Hall for an opossum in a tree.

Officer responded to Visser Hall, RM 328 for report of fallen ceiling tile and water leaking.

March 8

Officer spoke with subject via phone.
Subject requested video footage from library to prove he was working on midterm when he ran a paper through AI to check it not create it. The paper disappeared. Officer provided KORA contact info.

March 7

Officer responded to fire alarm in
Southeast Morse Hall. No evidence of fire or smoke. System reset. No report taken. Case closed.

Officer responded to 12th Ave and
Commercial Street for subject laying face down before getting up and walking to ESU campus.

March 6

An ambulance was dispatched to the
Science Hall. An individual was reportedly having chest pains. The person was not transported by EMS. Report

Officers found a deer head in the
wooded area south of the Trusler Sports
Complex. Report

Emporia State Theatre will explore themes of poverty, morality and religion with its production of Major Barbara this weekend. Major Barbara was written by Academy Award and Nobel Prize winner George Bernard Shaw in 1905.
