Former President Donald Trump claimed the presidency Nov. 5 against Vice President Kamala Harris, making him the president-elect for the 47th President of the United States. At 78 years old, he is the oldest person elected to the presidency and the first convicted felon. Since his election, he has discussed his plans for his return to the White House. ESU prof arrested on child sex crime charge: Who is Howard Pitler?

Hearing over ESU petition challenging reinstatement of dismissed professors rescheduled

An Oct. 25 hearing for a district court case involving seven Emporia State professors, who were dismissed during the Fall 2022 implementation of the Workforce Management Framework and reinstated by the Office of Administration Hearings, was rescheduled at the request of the University. Court records show the hearing is now slated for Jan. 24, 2025. Read the full story here.

Four Emporia State alumni received the University Service Citation Award from the ESU Alumni Association. The award recognizes individuals who “have made unique and significant contributions to Emporia State, its students, and its staff members.” Read the full story here.
