Incase You Missed It…
OIE emergency meeting addresses ‘record termination,’ claims two students have been affected
The office of International Education held an emergency meeting with international students at Emporia State Tuesday over student record termination from SEVIS, a web-based system used by the Department of Homeland Security to manage the records of international students nationwide.
Sources indicate that two students at ESU have already been affected, though The Bulletin has not been able to independently verify that information with the OIE.

Bulletin brings home awards from Kansas Collegiate Media

Mason Hart, Maddie Carr and Asher Lefto attended this year’s Kansas Collegiate Media conference held at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
We had a great time at the 2025 Kansas Collegiate Media Conference in Wichita! We heard from excellent speakers, workshopped in breakout sessions and interacted with our peers from other college newsrooms. A few big awards also came back to Emporia with us!
The Bulletin staff was awarded the Big J Journalism Award this year! This award has been handed out for three years in recognition of student journalists who produce outstanding work under challenging circumstances and consistently hold power to account. We also received the award in 2023 when it was first introduced.

Editor-in-Chief Maddie Carr came away with the third place Journalist of the Year Award. Many other individual awards were also won by staff members:
