Letter from the Editor: Let’s make it our year

I’ve officially spent more years in undergrad with The Bulletin than without it. It’s become much harder to remember a time over the past four years where I haven’t spent my weeks doing interviews, typing up a story, editing, or staying up until 1 a.m. on production nights.

Emporia State Football won its season opener against Minot State 27-7 at Welch Stadium on Aug. 28. The match up between the Hornets and the Beavers was a first for the program. 

WAW Library to hold $1 book sale with archives exhibit reception

William Allen White Library will host a book sale Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The sale will be held on the first floor of the library and books will be $1 each. 

KBOR approves committee members for ESU presidential search

The Kansas Board of Regents has approved members of the Emporia State Presidential Search Committee following a Wednesday board meeting over Zoom, a press release from the Regents announced Wednesday.

Emporia to host Spanish Film Festival Sept. 3 to Oct. 3

Emporia will host its first-ever Spanish Film Festival this fall, running from Sept. 3 to Oct. 3, with screenings held at the Granada Theatre and Emporia State’s Visser Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
